- Text: Algebra, Michael Artin.
- Content: We will finish Chapter 7, then do most of
Chapters 10-13, covering rings and fields.
- Goals: A major goal of this course is to prepare graduate
students for the qualifying exam in algebra. A topic list for
the algebra quals and copies of recent exams are available at
http://www.math.unl.edu/pi/graduate/GradExams.
