Goals:
- to introduce you to the methods and concerns of graph theory
- to see some practical applications of abstract math
- to develop proof writing skills
Grades: Your grade will be based on weekly homework, 3
in-class hour exams, and a comprehensive final, with the weights
as shown below. Your lowest hour exam will be replaced
by your homework average if the latter is higher. (This would effectively
double the weight of the homework, and reflects how important
the homework is in getting the most out of this course!)

Departmental Grading Appeals Policy: Students who
believe their academic evaluation has been prejudiced or capricious
