| Although linear operators acting between linear topological spaces are functions in their own right, operator theory is perceived as distinct of what we designate as function theory. The talk will focus on concepts specific to the theory of real and complex functions which are beneficial to operator theory and vice versa, illustrate how function theory can benefit of operatorial concepts and techniques. |
