Preparing Teachers for the 21st Century

A Conference for Nebraska Faculty and Administrators
Who Educate Math and Science Teachers
May 27 - 28 1998

This conference will facilitate the coming together of faculty and administrators from all Nebraska colleges and universities who prepare math and science teachers. Through a combination of NSF and University funds we are able to underwrite a significant portion of the expense for a team from every institution to attend this conference and stay over to participate in the Shaping the Future conference.

If you have suggestions about topics you would like to see included or would like to volunteer to do a presentation, please send email to Sandy Scofield or call Marilyn Lammers at (402) 472-9305.
The keynote speaker for the conference will be Keith Devlin. Dr. Devlin is dean of science at Saint Mary's College of California and a senior researcher at Stanford University's Center for the study of Language and Information. He is the author of Goodbye, Descartes: The End of Logic and the Search for a New Cosmology of the Mind (John Wiley and Sons, 1997).
Online registration is available.

A list of the conference Steering Committee members is available.

A tentative schedule is available.
