About Me

I am currently a sixth-ish year graduate student in mathematics. I did my M.S.focusing on numerical analysis/applied math.

I've decided to go about my masters in a slightly unusual way as I chose to write a masters thesis ( [an error occurred while processing this directive]). After going to a conference that was hosted at Copper mountain . I decided to write my thesis on multigrid methods . After discussing things with my adviser, Thomas Shores, who is interested in inverse problems, my thesis would be on using multigrid methods to solve inverse problems.

This year instead of teaching, I'm doing computer work for the department.

Last year instead of teaching, I was a resident scientest with Project Fulcrum.

The summer of 1999 I worked for Wolfram Research as a student intern in the research and development group. Needless to say it was damn cool. I met a lot of really cool people, worked on some cool things involving TeX, learned quite a bit. SteveC, one of the interns, set up a web page about the group of us. You can find it here.

I did my B.S. here at UNL. I graduated May of 2000 with a major in mathematics and minors in astronomy and computer science. I was one credit short of a Latin minor.

This page also has some of the other things that I find interesting.
