Math 990 Topics in Topology Home Page
Spring, 2019
Mark Brittenham

This page is devoted to materials and links related to the topic of this (spring 2019) course: hyperbolic geometry and the topology of (low-dimensional) manifolds. These materials will come in three forms:

Materials in the public domain will be placed on the Public Domain page.

Materials not in the public domain (read: journal articles, and textbooks that UNL has digital rights to) will be placed in the class LockBox. The username and password will be available from the instructor.

Some things handed out in class may be found here.

Problem sets can be found here, in pdf and (La)tex format.

Links to more extensive resources/repositories will be listed on this page, as I find them.
This link leads to some terrific animations of what an isometry of hyperbolic 3-space (in the upper half space model) looks like.

A list of video clips available on the web related to the topics of the course.

I will also try to maintain a running list of the topics we have covered/will cover, providing links to the most relevant/accessible source material that I know of for each.
