| The Power Math Summer Camp will be July 15-21, 2001. For boys and
girls entering the 8th or 9th grade in fall 2001, the camp enables
students to learn about the application of mathematics for modeling
and analyzing social phenomena. Each day will be divided into two
workshops - 3 hours in the morning and 3.5 hours in the afternoon
- followed by supervised social activities in the evening. At the
camp, participants will receive the mentoring guidance of experienced
graduate and undergraduate students in the Department of Mathematics
and Statistics at UNL. The groups will share their discoveries with
each other through formal presentations and informal discussions.
Registration materials may be accessed at the camp's website, http://www.math.unl.edu/~powermath/.
Questions may be referred to the camp's email account at powermath@math.unl.edu
