| The 21st Annual Biology Career Workshop will be July 15-19, 2001,
on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus. This program enables
students to obtain an understanding of applied biology careers. NU
faculty will lead interactive workshops in university laboratories.
Workshop topics include biotechnology, environmental science, food
science, horticulture, engineering, animal science, plant science,
and much more. Programs will familiarize students with available scholarships
and the college admissions process. Participants will stay in the
Burr Residence Hall, a dormitory on UNL's East Campus.
Forty students will be accepted into the camp. To be eligible,
students must have completed either the tenth or eleventh grade
in the spring of 2001 and have completed at least one full year
of high school biology.
The UNL College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources
and 4-H Youth Development sponsor the program. Application forms
