Advocates for transferring the United States to the metric system
will meet Saturday, September 8th. The meeting will be held in Oldfather
Hall on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus prior to the Nebraska-Notre
Dame football game. Discussion at the meeting will include a plan
to improve students' measuring skills while exploring other areas
of mathematics. According to Tom Price of Norris Middle School, "If
you are frustrated with efforts to teach two systems of measurements,
this meeting is for you!" Questions and comments should be referred
