The Department of Food Science and Technology has developed an educational
program for junior high and senior high schools. This program includes
a variety of science activities that integrate physics, chemistry,
and biology to explain the fascinating field of Food Science. This
is a science field often overlooked; therefore an effort is being
made to acquaint teachers and students with this career choice. The
program can be offered at your school by a visiting food scientist
or school groups are welcome to arrange a visit to the department
including a tour of the Nebraska Food Processing Center. For more
