| The 21st annual Biology Career Workshop was held July 15-19, 2001.
The College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources and 4-H
Youth Development hosted the event. Nineteen students from Nebraska
and one student from Maryland attended the science camp. The high
school juniors and seniors were housed at Burr Residence Hall on East
Campus.
The campers selected workshops to attend during the camp, options
including such titles as "Grind and Find: Exploring a Cell's
Inner Compartments," "What's Buggin' You: Insects that
Bite and Sting," and "Plant Parenthood: Application of
Biotechnology."
In addition to the workshops, the students visited Nine Mile Prairie,
Prairie Pines, Agricultural Research Division Center at Ithaca,
Schramm State Park, and Mahoney State Park.
