This Fall, UNL Chemistry Professor Dr. Mark Griep is teaching a
freshman seminar studying the color red. The course begins with a
discussion of the color’s history in art, literature, and society.
The second portion of the course analyzes the relationship between
the color red and science, such as how the eye perceives the color
red and the wavelengths absorbed and reflected by a red colored solution.
