The current manual is available as a gzipped dvi file, about 600 kilobytes. Use "xdvi -S 1", version 20 or later. Alternatively, you can download a gzipped postscript file, about 1000 kilobytes. If you have viewing or printing problems, look here or write to me.

There is an inline (but older) version of the Split document (but just the first 73 pages; readable but at low resolution), at about 25 kilobytes a page, here.
