**Homework**: There will be weekly homework assignments.
As I get to know your backgrounds better, I'll try to
individualize the assignments, so not everybody will
get the same assignment.

**Semester Grades**:
Homework 100 points each
Participation 50 points
Total 150 points

**Final Exam**: There will be no final, but we may
use part of the final time slot for an additional class, in case
we need to make up a class.

**Departmental Grading Appeals Policy**: Students
who believe their academic evaluation has been prejudiced or capricious
have recourse for appeals to (in order) the instructor, the
departmental chair, the departmental appeals committee,
and the college appeals committee.
