Title: Multiplicities, integral dependence and equisingularity theory

Abstract: This is a report on some recent joint work with Steve Kleiman and Bernd Ulrich on multiplicity based criteria for integral dependence of modules and their application in characterizing numerically the equisingularity conditions.
