We cordially invite your school to participate in the AMC 8 (American Mathematics Contest 8) to be held Tuesday, November 17, 2009. Almost 160,000 students in grades 8 and below, from more than 2,700 schools participated in 2008. We truly hope that you will participate in this year's contests.

As you register your school to participate in the AMC 8, you may also nominate a current mathematics teacher who has been identified as contributing to the success of your students on the AMC 8, for the Edyth May Sliffe Award.

The 2009 version of the Math Club Package is available to aide in student preparation. This includes a Club Advisor's Handbook, including 50 new Problems, presented in the same format as the Student Practice Questions in the back of the last year's Teacher Manual. In addition, we have web based resources such as a mini quiz of the month and a question of the week for club use.
