Upgrade Wiley Web Tests for Calculus
Upgrade
the software for the Wiley Web Tests for Calculus. The upgrade provides
students answering formula questions the opportunity to preview their responses
in standard mathematical notation. It also offers new question modes for
instructors interested in writing their own tests, and is easily incorporated
into other web-sites. See the overview
for screenshots and more details. Note: This download
requires a password. Licensed users of the Calculus system can obtain a
password from John Wiley & Sons.
Test Authoring Tools
The
mathematical questions in the Wiley Web-Tests for Calculus and the
Wiley
Web-Tests for Precalculus and College Algebra were written in LaTeX
and converted into the format for question banks using a set of LaTeX
macros and a PERL conversion program. These programs are available
for download from the University of Nebraska.
Macintosh Support
To
run the first version of the Wiley Web-Tests for Calculus on a Macintosh
server, you will need a small patch, which can be downloaded here. NOTE:
The patch is only needed if you want to run the test server on a
Macintosh. Students and faculty can access the server from browsers on
Macintosh computers without any problems.
