UCARE Projects

The UNL UCARE program is designed to promote the undergraduate research both in the preparatory stage as well as in the actual research stage. It is envisioned as a two-year process that offers up to $2000 for the first year and $2400 for the second. The student must have a sponsoring mentor faculty member. For more information see UCARE. If you have any additional questions, please see the Chief Undergraduate Advisor, Prof. Gordon Woodward (gwoodwar@math.unl.edu).

Several faculty in the Department of Mathematics have expressed an interest in sponsoring a UCARE project with a qualified math major. If you have a project in mind, mention it to some of your faculty contacts or to the Chief Undergraduate Advisor, Prof. Gordon Woodward. If you have a faculty member in mind, but can't think of a project, then discuss it with the faculty member. She/he may help you find just the right topic.
